Michael Kyes – Managing Director

Michael Kyes manages software development and the technical aspects of KGA Associates, LLC.  He has been in the software development business for thirty years and has produced products for Intuit, The Learning Company and Mattel, as well as products distributed by his own companies. His expertise in accounting and financial management (he developed a popular accounting program called Accounting Plus) has been invaluable in the design of PVOptimze, which is a tool for solar system estimation and analysis.

In addition to software development, Mr. Kyes provides energy analysis for residential consumers and Title 24 analysis for contractors and developers.  He was on the design team for the first (maybe second) LEED Certified Custom Home in California and has been a party to a California PUC rulemaking involving solar energy. He is a frequent participant in PUC and CEC hearings regarding solar energy.  Mr. Kyes majored in mathematics at UC Berkeley and is a native of Berkeley, California.  He now resides in Sonoma County California.

Una J. M. Glass – Managing Director

Una Glass manages the marketing and sales segment of  KGA Associates, LLC as well as documentation, help authoring and financial management.  Ms Glass has 30 + years experience in software development and the computer industry as well as a background in accounting and non-profit management. She has been a principal in several software and computer industry businesses, and served as the CFO for both a high tech startup that develops flat panel technologies and a public broadcasting station. She has managed the development of web based products as well as stand alone consumer software. She has been an advocate for alternative energy all of her adult life, following in the footsteps of her father, who held patents on technologies related to renewable energy.
